Thoughts when I Give People Pencils in Class

Come on, be my friend
I’ll give you something for your hands.
You need something quite very nice
You need something that is quite worth the price

I see your essay there not complete
Oh yes, I really want to compete
Let’s be friends, here’s a pencil
Just don’t be a fool

Hey there, how’s the writing?
I bet it’s easier than cage fighting
Let me help you
This poem you’re reading is something completely new

How’s life with my pencil?
Is it grand, or is it still at a standstill?
The deadline is near, you enjoy working hard?
With my own pencil, I don’t have to work hard

With your own pencil, life is grand
See, I have my own pencil, my friend
With pencils you have the power to write
The power to say you’re nice

Come on be my friend
I’ll give you something nice for your hands

Outlaws Battle on the Way to San Francisco

There was a man with no parents
He fell off the wagon, and then lived his life
He never knew until a dream
That’s when he left for San Francisco

Francisco was a man who had lost his parents
He never knew until that one very night
That’s when he had a dream,
A dream that changed his life

A psychic told him something,
Something about his life
He left for San Francisco
Then he fought outlaws

Atop that tall canyon
Francisco fought the outlaws
Ducking bullets, dodging cannons
Francisco fine’ly won

Francisco was a man who had lost his parents
He never knew until that one very night
That’s when he had a dream,
A dream that changed his life

Then the soldiers came back searching
Looking for who had won,
Until they saw Francisco
Praising him and thanking him, they called all men to order

Francisco was a man who had lost his parents
He never knew until that one very night
That’s when he had a dream,
A dream that changed his life

Proceed to San Francisco
Francisco made his….. way
Proceed...

Last Night...

Last night was bittersweet and sorta weird.
It was my last high school football game ever.
Marching band has pretty much been my life for the past four years.

I have been with most of the same people every Friday night under those bright lights
I have been with most of these people since sixth grade.
Some I have been with some for only two or three years.
We have watched over each other through the good times and the bad times,
We have even wanted to fight at times

But, no matter what, we all share share one thing
We are family.
We are part of an elite group...

The Cass High Colonel Marching Band

We will always be family no matter what,
Through the good times and the bad times
And I love them all like I love my own family
These are my fellow Cass High Marching Band Seniors

These people really do mean the world to me...

The Moon

I am here all day and night,
I watch over all of you
In the dark, and in the light

To some I am barely seen,
When the time of day is right
To some I am even ignored

Making the night bright
The night is my time to shine
My time to show my beauty,
and let the rest of the world admire me

The Sun

Lighting up the sky I am known to many,
I am loved, and hated, even ignored

Many undervalue me

Rising and setting, I visit you every day
Never noticed unless I am in your way

Lighting your way...

Lighting your way, I keep you warm
Lighting up your world so you can carry on

Carry on...

Trying Hard, and Never Giving Up

Trying new things is something I have always believed in. One simply cannot do anything new if he/she can does not attempt to try something new. Learning is all about trying new things and getting better. When someone tries and puts forth effort, it shows he/she, that learning is possible even if it does not go the way it should. All around, trying something new every once in a while really is a great trait to have, or a great thing to believe in.
No one will learn new things without trying; it does not work that way at all. There is no purpose in it. I recall when I did not want to try a math a math problem because I did not understand it, and I never thought I would understand it either. My math teacher looked at me when she saw me sitting there in class, and said “One will never know without trying. That is what school is for.” I said, “Good point. I need help. May I get some help please?”  I received the help I needed.  My math teacher really did have a great point. If I never attempted to try, I would never know how to do that math problem. When I see that one tries hard at something and give up because he/she is frustrated, I tell them that story.
Trying sometimes often comes with mistakes. Trying also shows that someone is putting effort into something. Sometimes the outcome may not be successful, but everyone still knows that he/she trying their best, and their goal will be met through hard work and dedication. Many of the philosophers and inventors that help shape the world we live in today have tried new things, and sometimes even made mistakes of their own. The only way their invention was a success was because he/she has gone back and analyzed what he/she have done so far and fixing what they did wrong. Asking for help also factors in to whatever the problem may happen to be. It is pretty much trial and error. That is as simple as it gets. Anyway, back to my point, without opening up and trying new things, it will be nearly impossible to achieve. It is just not going to happen if you are afraid to be tough and go for it. Just remember to be curious and try new things.

Like I stated earlier, I believe in trying. Nothing new happens without trying new things. If one is in a dilemma where he/she cannot assess the problem and needs help, he/she is always in good company.

Help me, I don't know what to do! (You and I)

Help!
I'm trapped in a box
Confused,
I don't know what to do

You see?
Doing what God wants me to do...
It's hard, this sweet temptation...
I don't know what to do.

Help me!
I'm confused
Trapped in a box,
I don't know what to do.

---

Baby, take my hand...
It's okay, don't be afraid
Soon this confusion will be gone
We'll figure this out, You and I

We'll figure this out and do what's right
I know it's hard,
We'll do what God wants you to do
We'll figure this out, You and I

It'll all work out, you see?
Because I love you,
Together, we'll fix this mess
You and I
